The Yammy Yum lunch

It's just been a couple of days since I joined my new job and even fewer days at this workplace.
And I am already missing my previous organisation's mess.
I ate in that mess for about 18 months and we all complained about how fewer options we had. My only staple food there was parantha , which my favourite vendor made according to my preferences. I was so used to him, and he to me(my orders :P). He knew my order before me uttering.
I am at this new office and I am stoned by the options available here. They have only 2 vendors one for meals and other for snacks. I have been struggling to eat good food.

While scrolling my facebook feed, sitting in the cafeteria, pissed by not getting something yummy, I came across this post by Yammy Yum. They are the new thing on my feed and I have been liking their witty posts lately. Suddenly I realised I could order from them. Every new venture is worth a try. Sceptical at first, because of my previous experience, but still messaged them and got their today’s special. They are very responsive and humble. Asked my food preferences and suggested me few dishes.
I finally ordered “Adraki chicken” (Ginger Chicken Indian Style).
Within half an hour I got the food delivered at my office. This charming guy handing me the package felt nothing less than an angel. Well, hunger never lets you hang around the angels for long, so I rushed to the cafeteria.
Even before I could get a spoon, I couldn’t resist but open the package and had a lick. The fragrance from the bowl kept intimidating all the way to cafĂ©. That first lick took me into the timeless realm where the only thing I could feel was the burst of flavours in my mouth.
The dish was really appealing. The rich golden gravy, the tender chicken pieces, the greens and the ginger julienne, par perfection. With every spoonful of the gravy I had, I could enjoy the medley of spices and flavours blended so well. The bite of chicken was a melt in the mouth experience. I can't express my love for ginger, this dish gave me all of that. That generous amount of those finely julienned ginger slightly simmered in gravy was a burst of freshness and had a bite in them. I am not a chilly person, so they made this milder version for me. I truly enjoyed that slight heat in the dish that came from the chilly and ginger together. All together an awesome dish. Looking forward to their more amazing dishes.

@Yammy Yum,
Oh, Thee Savior,
Thou saved me.
Thanks for this amazing lunch, and saving me from pathetic office food.

My Take On: Malaka Spice

Hey lovelies, I have a friend who is transferring to NCR this weekend. It all happened on such a short notice that we didn’t get enough time to plan for anything. She received the confirmation on Thursday, hence we planned an evening out on the very day. The irony of this farewell party is that the person departing was on fast.:P. Anyways, we decided a beautiful place but due to traffic and work the next day, we ended in the neighborhood. So here’s My Take on: Malaka Spice. The first impression, those flower laden rickshaws parked on both sides of the entrance. As I stepped in I liked their outdoor seating, those beautifully decorated walls with picture frames and then those paper lamps on the edge of the shed running all the way to the other end. Southeast Asian food is not something I like. I just can’t take red chilly or pungent and sharp flavors like those of kimchi. I am a die-hard fan of Chinese, probably that’s what I eat more often than my own food. But Thai o...

My Take on: Prem's

Howdy people!? I'm in a cheerful mood today... Think my Zumba class charged me.. :P (giggle) So today I'm going to share my experience with one of the famous restaurant in Pune --Prem's. Ever since I moved to Pune I have been longing for good Punjabi food. And I have been hearing a lot about this place: Prem's Restaurant: 28/2, Opp. Lane 3, North Main Road, Koregaon Park, Pune. I got to visit this place last weekend. It was a rainy evening and I went there for dinner with a couple of friends. As usual before going there I did little R&D about the place and the menu. I was ready with my order before reaching there. The place has outdoor seating. The tables are arranged under a shed alongside the bar. the tables are candle-lit. Dim lights, raining, slight cold and outdoor dinner. Amazing. The ambiance is good. And now comes the food. We ordered few starters both veg and non veg, and the main course. Our order was: Starters; Veg Spring rolls: Th...
