My Take On: Yogi Tree

Sunday Morning. Around 9.30 am.
GRRRRRRR!!!!  GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

Me:Hello !
He: Brush and meet in the parking in 5.
Me: Ok...

After 2 minutes, I gain some senses and realize I actually talked on the phone, and just to be sure I call back.

He: Tu aa bhi gayi?? Really Quick!!
Me: No... Can I come in PJs.?
He: Ok no problem.

I went to the parking and ask what happened?
He: It's a surprise.
So I just sealed my mouth sat behind him and enjoyed the morning ride. Because surprises are something that I don't get to see very often.

Hello Lovely Readers,

Today I'm going to share my yet another experience with you Guys, And as you know it was a surprise for me. A very close friend of mine took me to this place.
So here's my Take on : Yogi Tree
Address:294 2, Ragvilas Society, Koregaon Park, Pune, Maharashtra.

Yogi Tree Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

When I reached there, the first thing I noticed was its outside seating. This place is a house turned into a restaurant. They have this huge space to sit with trees planted near the walls. It reminded me of my home. We have a similar space , that once used to be a lawn, but my mom got it marbled after being annoyed by the earthworms during rains.

The place is so serene, you sit in the shade of the umbrellas and breathe in that sweet morning breeze. It really feels so fresh. It's definitely a perfect day to start your day, reading a book or a newspaper. My day was already made waking to a surprise and then the ambiance of this place. It was time for us to order, and I read the restaurant's reviews to know about its highlighted dishes and placed my order.
There were mixed reviews so I ordered hesitatingly, as :
  • Cheese Mushroom Omelet
  • Puri Bhaji
I wanted to taste these before ordering any further. The order was served after a short wait. I was surprised to see their quantity. It was ample. The Omelet was about 3-4 eggs, generously stuffed with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. The only thing that bothered me was it was under seasoned and the cheese was too salty.

Then came the Puri Bhaji, It was served as a flower, with the Bhaji bowl in the center and the fluffy puri's around it, just like the petals of a flower. The puris felt like cushions, so fluffy and soft. And the bhaji was good as compared to other places, except that the tomato puree overpowered the other flavors.

My overall experience was ok, because I was a little let down by the food, and that pissed me to this extent that soon the flies started bothering me.

Considering all the goods and bads, I rate this place as:
Ambiance: 3.5 / 5
Food: 2.5 / 5
Value for Money: 3.5 / 5

My Take On: Malaka Spice

Hey lovelies, I have a friend who is transferring to NCR this weekend. It all happened on such a short notice that we didn’t get enough time to plan for anything. She received the confirmation on Thursday, hence we planned an evening out on the very day. The irony of this farewell party is that the person departing was on fast.:P. Anyways, we decided a beautiful place but due to traffic and work the next day, we ended in the neighborhood. So here’s My Take on: Malaka Spice. The first impression, those flower laden rickshaws parked on both sides of the entrance. As I stepped in I liked their outdoor seating, those beautifully decorated walls with picture frames and then those paper lamps on the edge of the shed running all the way to the other end. Southeast Asian food is not something I like. I just can’t take red chilly or pungent and sharp flavors like those of kimchi. I am a die-hard fan of Chinese, probably that’s what I eat more often than my own food. But Thai o...

My Take on: Prem's

Howdy people!? I'm in a cheerful mood today... Think my Zumba class charged me.. :P (giggle) So today I'm going to share my experience with one of the famous restaurant in Pune --Prem's. Ever since I moved to Pune I have been longing for good Punjabi food. And I have been hearing a lot about this place: Prem's Restaurant: 28/2, Opp. Lane 3, North Main Road, Koregaon Park, Pune. I got to visit this place last weekend. It was a rainy evening and I went there for dinner with a couple of friends. As usual before going there I did little R&D about the place and the menu. I was ready with my order before reaching there. The place has outdoor seating. The tables are arranged under a shed alongside the bar. the tables are candle-lit. Dim lights, raining, slight cold and outdoor dinner. Amazing. The ambiance is good. And now comes the food. We ordered few starters both veg and non veg, and the main course. Our order was: Starters; Veg Spring rolls: Th...
