The Birthday Log

From my chaotic life, I took a break. And went on a weekend getaway for my birthday. I visited my friend in Banglore and had a gala time. We go back to 2014 when we joined our first organisation together. We made friends during induction while our dads were making friends outside the campus. From friends to roomies was a matter of moments. Though we got separated because of transfer just a few months later, still we built that bond strong enough to keep in touch and visit each other. This time it was me who was to travel. I was supposed to travel mid my birthday night. Technically my flight was @ 0030 hrs. But it kept rescheduling, giving me a chance to begin my birthday with the sweetness of the cake and warm wishes of the dear ones. Finally took the flight @ 400 hrs and reached my friend's place by 600 hrs. What a wonderful morning it was. Was shivering because of cold but was enjoying it more than ever. The moment I reached her place, I reached for the warmest bl...

The Lost Year

I have been inactive on my blog since june last year. Its the same time I joined a new organization and then a new project and my life has turned upside down. I have been so busy and so caught up in my work that I don't have time for myself or even my passions. Things have not favored my completely but still I enjoyed my time working. I love being busy and soaked up in work. It helps me avoid boredom. I am that kind of person who always needs something. Idleness kills me more than anything. So my work did the trick. I have worked in such an environment where priorities have changed with seconds. Requirements have always been unclear. And you learn news every second after go  live or on the day of release. The pressure gauge has been high and timelines thin. This was pretty much my last year, trying to fit in the thin time frames. Fortunately I managed to fit in somehow. Despite of my size though, which is not letting me fit in anything anymore. I have also seen a phase where...

My Take On: 13 reasons Why

13 reasons why, trending hype. It was such a hype that me not being a series person, saw all the episodes in a day. 13 reasons why was a recent trending thing. You could see it taking over the internet like a plague. Its a Netflix original series, touching the most sensitive and delicate issues of today's world -- Bullying and Suicide. Its a 13 episode series. A story of a teenager dead girl, a girl who committed suicide and was now telling her story. More specifically, justifying her action giving us 13 reasons. Each episode is considered a tape. The Dead Girl (Hannah) before committing suicide, recorded all the reasons on tapes. Each tape introduces to a character(person), in Hannah's life, their relationship with her and most importantly what wrong they did to her directly or indirectly. The reasons were: Rumors about her, friends ignoring her, being objectified, Guys thinking she's easy, girls defaming her, a crush too afraid to admit, being groped,...

The laughter filled night

I was about to leave Pune last month and finally move to Gurgaon. It was something that I really wanted from long. So before I leave I wanted to do all that which I should. Only 2 weeks before leaving, I got this awakening. And I almost striked most of the things off my list. Watching a live comedy show was also on my list. And it happened all by chance. One plesant sunday morning I woke up, scrolled through my feed and there it was. "Yo peeeeeplz its going to be Phun tonight..." "OMG! He's coming to Pune... Tonight!!! “I screamed through the house. Before I could brush my teeth, I got my tickets done.  And how could I miss it, my favorite comedian was coming to my city. My first live stand-up comedy show and that too of my favorite comic. In an eyes blink, came the laughter filled evening. We reached the venue and there he was on the stage. The man himself… JEEVESHU AHLUWALIA………… To me he appeared nothing less than a magician except with all his joke...

The Yammy Yum lunch

It's just been a couple of days since I joined my new job and even fewer days at this workplace. And I am already missing my previous organisation's mess. I ate in that mess for about 18 months and we all complained about how fewer options we had. My only staple food there was parantha , which my favourite vendor made according to my preferences. I was so used to him, and he to me(my orders :P). He knew my order before me uttering. I am at this new office and I am stoned by the options available here. They have only 2 vendors one for meals and other for snacks. I have been struggling to eat good food. While scrolling my facebook feed, sitting in the cafeteria, pissed by not getting something yummy, I came across this post by Yammy Yum. They are the new thing on my feed and I have been liking their witty posts lately. Suddenly I realised I could order from them. Every new venture is worth a try. Sceptical at first, because of my previous experience, but still message...

Yearbook - 2017 Q1 log

Hey People, you know I recently broke up with my previous organisation. And since beginning this year everything has been crazy. I have kept busy all this while.  January began with celebrations, welcoming the new year and a cracking a good offer. Then the same boring office to home schedule took over. Had to do Knowledge transition with my team . Presentations to the clients, conducting sports events at work. And a million other things to set up before I leave.  Then came my favourite month, February. The month of love and the month of my birth. This year I decided to celebrate the day with my family. I was excited and was doing it after 3 years now. So the month began with travel and then numerous rounds of interviews for various companies. And now on the last day of March, I finally got some time to write for you all. This month was my favourite part of the year so far. My notice period completed around the first fortnight.I almost left this city. And in the m...
