My Take On: 13 reasons Why

13 reasons why, trending hype. It was such a hype that me not being a series person, saw all the episodes in a day.

13 reasons why was a recent trending thing. You could see it taking over the internet like a plague.
Its a Netflix original series, touching the most sensitive and delicate issues of today's world -- Bullying and Suicide.

Its a 13 episode series. A story of a teenager dead girl, a girl who committed suicide and was now telling her story. More specifically, justifying her action giving us 13 reasons.

Each episode is considered a tape. The Dead Girl (Hannah) before committing suicide, recorded all the reasons on tapes. Each tape introduces to a character(person), in Hannah's life, their relationship with her and most importantly what wrong they did to her directly or indirectly.

The reasons were:
Rumors about her, friends ignoring her, being objectified, Guys thinking she's easy, girls defaming her, a crush too afraid to admit, being groped, family issues, and being raped.

Most of the issues are what everybody experiences in their life. Specially when you are in your teens you experiences most of these things. I mean name a person whose we haven't heard a rumor about?
Or for instance is there any person who hasn't heard rumors about themselves. In today's world people are so selfish and ruthless that they don't even take seconds to tarnish somebody's image for their benefit. We all have been there and dealt with shit. Its just that some people are strong enough not to take the load of such negativity or they vent out talking to somebody.

This was not the case with Hannah. She had issues making friends, and almost had no friends. Being new to a school and having her rumors reaching the school before her, she got a reputation built. A reputation such that everything was influenced by it. Tiny little things kept piling inside her, having no one to talk to, finally turning into a mountain of depression.

And when she wanted to give her life another chance and look for help, things got worse. She had a terrible day. She lost the money her broke family saved to pay the mortgage, letting down her family. And later being raped.

The time when she needed somebody's help, she had nobody to her rescue. With the constant feeling of being unwanted and troublemaker the only feeling she had left was to vanish. She found dying easier than fighting back.

P.S. : Suicide is not an easy thing. How can somebody hurt themselves. In this world full of ruthlessness, nobody loves anybody more than themselves. Even a tiny cut while chopping gives us a shiver, then how can anybody slit their wrist? Suicidal is an advanced stage of depressed.
Most of the people around are depressed. Just look around. Be little humble, make friends, talk to them and help them recover. Don't let anybody else be Hannah.

My Take On: Malaka Spice

Hey lovelies, I have a friend who is transferring to NCR this weekend. It all happened on such a short notice that we didn’t get enough time to plan for anything. She received the confirmation on Thursday, hence we planned an evening out on the very day. The irony of this farewell party is that the person departing was on fast.:P. Anyways, we decided a beautiful place but due to traffic and work the next day, we ended in the neighborhood. So here’s My Take on: Malaka Spice. The first impression, those flower laden rickshaws parked on both sides of the entrance. As I stepped in I liked their outdoor seating, those beautifully decorated walls with picture frames and then those paper lamps on the edge of the shed running all the way to the other end. Southeast Asian food is not something I like. I just can’t take red chilly or pungent and sharp flavors like those of kimchi. I am a die-hard fan of Chinese, probably that’s what I eat more often than my own food. But Thai o...

My Take on: Prem's

Howdy people!? I'm in a cheerful mood today... Think my Zumba class charged me.. :P (giggle) So today I'm going to share my experience with one of the famous restaurant in Pune --Prem's. Ever since I moved to Pune I have been longing for good Punjabi food. And I have been hearing a lot about this place: Prem's Restaurant: 28/2, Opp. Lane 3, North Main Road, Koregaon Park, Pune. I got to visit this place last weekend. It was a rainy evening and I went there for dinner with a couple of friends. As usual before going there I did little R&D about the place and the menu. I was ready with my order before reaching there. The place has outdoor seating. The tables are arranged under a shed alongside the bar. the tables are candle-lit. Dim lights, raining, slight cold and outdoor dinner. Amazing. The ambiance is good. And now comes the food. We ordered few starters both veg and non veg, and the main course. Our order was: Starters; Veg Spring rolls: Th...
